This last clue took Julie a little longer to get, which made me happy. But it was mostly because she couldn’t remember the route name. So maybe I didn’t stump her as well as I had thought.

The last route for the day was a link-up of sorts called Buried Alive. You climb the first two pitches of Buried Treasure and then finish up with the last pitch of Stayin’ Alive for one of the better bolted multi pitch routes in the canyon.

I thought it would be fun for Julie to climb this final route with some of her friends and so off went Julie, Kevin and Leslie to climb the route.

Once on the top Julie quickly gathered the final clue and they rappelled the route. Once back on the ground, she read the final clue: “On the top, one last cumbre. I hope you had fun, on your birthday! Find your way by the clues below, they will lead to the corner of 38th & Arapahoe. Get there by 7, and dont be late. There’s beer and food, and maybe some mates.”
